Basket Island Oyster Company is a family owned oyster farm located in beautiful Casco Bay in the
Gulf of Maine. As the closest oyster farm to Portland Maine, we take pride in offering some of the
freshest oysters available to our customers.  Our oysters are served at Portland’s
finest restaurants and are available for purchase within just a couple hours of harvest.

Our mission is to grow the most delicious oyster possible, using only the most sustainable
methods of shellfish aquaculture. As a result, we leave the ocean and its water quality cleaner
and more pristine at the end of each day.
